At Mydoggini.com, we started out as a small group of dog owners who loved walking our dogs in NYC.  We never set out to create a better harness however after numerous attempts at buying harnesses that either broke, cracked or pulled our dog, we knew we had no other choice. The expression; "Necessity is the mother of invention" definitely hit a chord with us. Afterall we wanted the best for our dogs and wouldn't accept anything less than the best. When my little 5 pound puppy was able to break out of a very popular harness I was pretty surprised. The pet store had no problem replacing it however I didn't feel too confident in the product at that point. We realized that the fit of the harness was causing more issues than an actual dog collar. The vest type harness was digging into the shoulders of the dog which created a chafing and pulling issue that dogs were experiencing. The harness shape, off the dog, looked like a harness, however the fit and synchronicity was neither a safe nor a conducive harness. Pulling at the neck was causing the harness to act like a collar and this was causing many dogs tracheal problems, ie; collapsed tracheas.
